How should I get this off my rims?

Hello...Im new to this section but not TN. Im growing more interested in car care, especially since I just got a Camry with allow wheels...which is what brings me to my question.

How would I go about getting this stuff off my rims?

please ignore the dead bug...

Ive tried using dish detergent and a worn in scotchbrite sponge...but cant get it off. Any help would be appreciated!

BTW...here are my cars...

I've used Mother's metal polish with very nice results. But I'm not an expert, hopefully someone else will chime in.

Try full strength Simple Green and dollar store "Scotchbrite" style pads.

I used that on some heavy duty brake dust buildup on some 2003 Civic EX coupe alloys. Took some time, but it worked great.

Not sure on what to use on that bug in your second pic though

What PB said... any other approach will simply wear on the coating. You will need to use a detail brush or a toothbrush to get in those nooks and crannies.

Unfortunately, that is typical on wheels this old. Some may be permanent rust stains and may not come out without taking some of the clear or silver coat along with it. Last resort, try using a paint polish or scratch remover with a detail brush.

To be honest, brake clean does a pretty good job on rims

Eagle One ALL THE WAY!!! I LOVE THIS STUFF!!!

Thanks for the recommendation guys! They are running special right now where you get $10 off when you purchase 2 Eagle One products. So I basically got 2 bottles for free!

Updated pics!

Very nice -- did you have to do anything special, like use a wheel brush or anything?

Yeah...I grabbed a wheel brush from wal-mart and that was it. Hardly ANY scrubbing necessary....and mine had been on there for a while!

I told ya that Eagle One wheel & tire is good stuff.
I don't use many Eagle One products, but I do have to admit that their wheel/tire cleaner and their Tire Swipes are good products.

Looks like you sprayed it on your tires too. Nice clean rubber.

Just give it a spray, scrub with a brush, wait a minute, hose it off. You can see the grime just melt off of the tires.
