I started this thread a while back to help figure out a plan of attack for my wife's car:
Detailing Masters....I need a plan of attack (pics included)
I got some helpful responses from PB and Justin (Adam's Polishes).
I then made a few detailing related purchases

:
And turned this:
Into this:
I still have a little more work to do on her (I got a late start today and didn't have quite as much time to work on the car as I would like) but the improvement is quite amazing as is.
What I did:
1. Washed and then dried the car
2. Clayed it using a clay bar I got from Adam's Polishes
3. Used an Orange Polish Pad w/ Swirl and Haze Remover (both from Adam's)
4. Finished it of with Adam's Machine Super Wax
If I hadn't been on a time crunch I would have gone back over a few spots on the car with the white (less abrasive) polish pad and Fine Machine Polish to clean things up even more, but I was running out of daylight and needed to get things done. Luckily my Tacoma only has very light swirl marks on it so I will get to try out that combo (white polish pad w/ Fine Machine Polish) on my truck.
Thanks again to all the guys at Adam's - their customer service was excellent, their detailing DVD was very helpful for someone who had never used a PC buffer before, and their products work wonderfully. Also gotta through a big shout-out to PB, his "how-to" detailing thread (
Detailing your vehicle (Exterior)) was also VERY helpful.
