I would use a razor blade with some glass cleaner as lubricant.

You could use detailing clay without any fear of damage.

You could also try a cloth dampened with mineral spirits.

I've used razor blades too, but I use rubbing alcohol as a lubricant instead as the ammonia concentration in glass cleaners can make some decals delaminate if the liquid contacts them. Just food for thought.

Heh before I got my 09 camry SE, i had a 91 poniac and some paint ended up on the windshield. Take Dot 3 brake fluid...poor it on your windshield and use a cloth to spread it over where the paint is...let it sit for a night in the garage shed...in the morning use a different cloth (since the first one already has fluid on it) and use the dry cloth to remove the paint.

Btw, JimD is right, if its a light layer of paint/fresh paint...mineral spirits should be able to remove it since it is a thinner...but when i did that..my paint had been on the windhsoeld for over a week...so i juse did the dot 3 thing and worked like a charm

Gawd. ^

Be careful with that brake fluid. If it gets on your cars body it will ruin the paint.

Rubbing the window vigorously with chrome polish works good, and is a lot safer than using brake fluid.

lol Pb is definetly right, I accidently laid a small drop on the door panel, and forgot to remove it...i removed it within a minute or 2 and behold, the paint was ruined. But after i jus used it in very small amounts and made sure i poured very small amounts on the windshield with the container touching the windhsield so it could not splatter.

I second Pb's opinion. I remember working as a gas jockey in high school, and on those occasions where transmission fluid got splashed on our work shorts, you could be sure they'd come out of the wash with holes at every location that was splattered. Now that's some nasty stuff! Stick with something milder....

WD-40 and a razor blade would be my approach. Stay away from brake fluid if possible (as noted above) it would work but it seems a bit extreme.
