Wax?

I have an 07 tacoma that is silver and want to know which wax would be best to use for it? i have been doing some reading but i guess everyone has their own opinions. Looks like Zaino is one of the most popular. My dad just bought a new truck also and he has somewhat of a dark brown so could we both use the same wax and get the same results? Looking for something not hard to get off since m time is very limited and really can not afford to wax a vehicle all day but want to keep it nice looking and keep the water beading.

Zaino stuff looks great, but takes some time and money.

Adams is good stuff too.

When a wax is hard to remove it usually means that you have applied it on hot paint, or you applied the wax too thick. Spray a mist of detailing spray on the dried wax to make it easier to remove.

I have detailed cars for years. I have tried many different kinds of waxes and polishes. I have always went back to liquid Glass. I just bought a new 08 Tacoma Sport and 08 Solara SLE, which are both bright red. The Liquid Glass will be the only polish I will use on these new vehicles, period!!! I have applied 3 coats on each one, and they look great.

Meh. Liquid Glass is OK I guess.

It's actually a wax, not a polish. I hate it when companies confuse people by calling a wax a polish. Wax and polish are totally different products.

Liquid Glass is a little bit of an old school product IMO. I used it for years and liked the end results but there are newer technology products that produce similar if not better results.

If you want outstanding results, you may want to look past OTC stuff. Unless you have a local dealer, Klasse, Wolfgang, Poorboy's or Optimum (just some of the good brands) are available online.

For recent single stage paints, you most likely need to clay-polish then wax.

I agree there is some good products out there, but I have not come across any that are light years ahead of the others. I will keep using my oldschool method, and keep the shine going!!!! Sometimes old school can be really good, just like my old school car. (10th Anniversary Silver Edition Trans Am). I see products out all of the time, that I would like to try. Who can afford to try them all though. Sometimes it would be easier if we only had a couples of products to chose from instead of hundreds!!
