Dye stain on car hood =(

Hey guys and gals,

Just bought a camry 09 SE, and unfortunetly, some sort of powder ending up on my hood. I did not know the power was there till i got back home and looked inside the garage so I'm pretty sure the powder had been there for awhile. When i went to wipe the powder off...it left a yellow stain (the powder was red). I'm assuming this is now a stain...is there any way to remove this? Sigh...

Okay I found a solution but just wanted to double check with some guys if its "paint-safe". I got the name of the powder and researched and many other people had the same issue with the powder (its used for a ritual for good luck in the hindu religion..lol please dont heckle me for this; don't want a religious debate :/) but apparently the solution is to use a cloth dipped in petrol and rub it a few times. Will the pretrol ruin the paint? Thanks What a way to start of the 2nd brand new day of your 2009 camry SE eh

I'd clay and polish it.

Powder = metal. Red powder = rusted metal....From where, my guess is from the train that delivered vehicle. Yellow stain is the transfer of rust residue to clear coat.

And like Pb said, "Clay and polish it".
