Paint Chips now orange(rust)! Please Help fix.

Last year I sanded all of my paint chips with a pencil using the eraser end with a circular piece of fine sandpaper glued to it. I then used a paint prep solution followed by a tiny bit of primer. After this had dried I used a bottle of touch up paint. it's been a year now and pretty much all of the spots I did are now completely orange again ick!

Is there something else that can get this paint to stick better? I really would hate to do this over and over again each year. Any information would be great !

We dont have anybody in this city that will just repair paint chips so finding time is always the hard part.

Thanks in advance!!

Yes rust from the metal being exposed.

I'm not a touch-up paint expert, but it sounds like you may have left a little rust behind the first time or you didn't have thorough coverage of the touch-up paint and moisture seeped in.

Pictures might be helpful.

You might consider re-doing a couple of spots as a test.

I would try the same procedure but finish with some Langka, which should help ensure a smooth, sealed surface so you don't have moisture seeping in.

Wax often once cured.

Funny that you say to use the Langka That is what I used to prep it and seal it. Maybe the touch up paint and primer type is crap? I used dupli-color primer and touch up , is there a brand of primer and touch up paint that is better?

I'll post a few pics today after work, so you can see what i'm talking about.
