Unhappy HELP: Clay stuck under film!

My buddy helped me with a few truckloads to the local dump, so I offered to wash / clay / wax his truck. His black truck has that 3M clear film in order to help prevent chips.

As part of the claying (with Adam's bile-colored clay), some of the clay is now lodged underneath the seam where the film stops.

Not only do I feel like an A$$ for not having thought of this, but now you can see the seams where you could not before.

Can anyone offer any advice on options (and cost)? Is it remotely possible that a detailer could carefully remove 1/8" off the seams? Any idea what that would cost? Thanks much.

Brian

I think this is more a question for the professional clear bra installer. I would seek in-person, professional opinions.

I would bet you'd need to remove and replace with a new bra.

FWIW, you probably know now to not clay against the edge of a clear bra, but along the edge (or simply just near it), and do so gently.

Use the clay bar to try and suck it out. A clay bar will pick up stray pieces of clay if you "blot" it correctly. Kinda hard to explain.
