Does claying also remove the wax?

Just wondering if everytime you clay your vehicle if it needs to be rewaxed, or is it safe to use between waxes?

Well, claying removes surface contaminants so I assume it will remove the wax.

Once a year, I tend to use a cleaner wax, followed with clay using a polish. This way you can wipe off the residue and follow it with carnuba.

There's no need to go overboard with clay except in choice spots to remove tar/bugs.

Yeah, clay can remove some of the wax. I just clay once or twice a year, and then give it a polish, and wax. The seriousness of your polishing job depends on the condition of the paint. If you take care of your paint then a light polish should do the job.

Yeah, I was curious because I use it often to get tree sap of my wifes car. She seems to get it on there from her work. It seems to work the best of anything I have found. I use it about once every two weeks when I wash it.
