Anyone ever heard or tried the auto armor provided by Toyota Dealer?
I was just curious on how well it is and is it worth the money? The sellman told me that you wouldn't have to worry about waxing your car and all you need would be the just the plain old car wash with no wax. He stated something about getting it done once a month or something...I didn't get the details.
Any info would be great. Just curious if anyone else see this service provided by their Toyota dealer.
Never heard of it. I suspect it's just another way for the dealer to line their pockets with your money. How much were they asking for the treatment BTW?
I did this on my Impala and the dealer said it has to be reapplied every six months...I talked to the detailer doing my car and it is nothing more than a paint sealant. It did make the car nice and shiny, but he didnt clay before he reapplied the sealant and so it introduced swirling on the 3rd reapplication. It is not worth it as others have noted.
Also, I hate those bastard dealerships touching my car. The last time it went in, I forgot to tell them NOT to wash my car. Now its covered with microscratches all over.

The OP states that it's called Auto Armour, not ArmourAll. BTW, I hate the stuff too!
Oops. I can't read. But yeah, you'll find it much more satisfying personally and monetarily taking care of your care yourself. I must be right, because you're posting on a Toyota enthusiast forum!

This dealer is trying to rip you off. Never fall for the undercoat/special wax scam. Modern cars do not need uncoating so they are basically charging you $875 for a $5.00 wax and $12 interior Scotchgaurding.

I agree with you, this part is a rip off. If it wasn't for the fact that I was getting the rust coating for 500 bucks (almost) off I wouldn't be doing that either. This is the advantage over buying at a newer dealership; it was a grand opening sale.
