What is your take on Shamwow?

Hey guys, just wondering what your thoughts are on the shamwow. I have a black magic pro drying towel http://www.blackmagicshine.com/produ...bsorbing-cloth

Is it the same idea?

Here is the link to the shamwow: https://www.shamwow.com/ver4/index.asp

Shamwow you'll be saying wow everytime. Made in Germany you know the Germans build great stuff. Shamwow, you'll be saying wow everytime.

Seriously though I got sucked into buying the shamwow product and actually think they're great.

IMO it is very efficient in cleaning & absorbing liquids. It easily skims the car surface and has replaced my tried and true chamois and large bath towels. I keep one in both of our cars along with a spray bottle of water and microfibre towels for quick clean ups. Sham Wow brand has proven itself many times over in our household!

I'd have to see it with my own eyes and use it with my own hands before I'd make that judgment. Dunno. As for the commercial, I'd trust that slink-eyed m*****f***** as far as I could throw him. Not the best way to convince consumers to trust their product (especially with their cars). Nevertheless, I'll give any product a fair try...as long as I don't have to buy it to test it....

Either that or he took a few turns too many inside a cement mixer...

...and what's up with the hair? That guy's got some frickin' hatchet head thing going. Would you board a 747 if that guy was your Captain?

try it out for yourself, $20 is a small price to pay, it seems like a good deal with they do work as stated.

Call me a cheap bastard (TrailDust offers an open shot ), but even $20 is too much to try a product like that. I'm really wary of trying any products I use for my car, and I'm even more wary of slick-ass presentations of products.

I have seen them up close but have not used them... it will take something special to lure me away from my waffle-weave microfiber drying towels.

looks like it would work like any other leather hide cleaning car towel but in the commercial when he picks up the juice under the carpet its so fixed one second there is juice all under it, the sext second there is none to be seen. To me i just stick with my california water blade.

My mom bought the Sham-Wow kit, I personally think that it does a fabulous job of drying the car, and it works well with my spray-detailers.

Have not tried this particular product, but if you are anal about your finish like I am, and don't like having those annoying "spiderweb" type scratches that you can only see at a certain angle in sunlight, I recommend caution if you're planning on using on painted surfacees. I only use quality microfiber and made in USA or Canada cotton towels....to ensure it is 100% cotton. I have something similar and it left fine scratches overtime. Now it is only used on my windows.

Just got rid of my 05 Subaru Outback XT and even after 4 yrs of Cdn winters, the finish looked like new, even under the flourescent lights in my garage.
