In the immortal words of President Clinton, I feel your pain. I've got a 2007 black Avalon and it's been a constant struggle to keep it looking good. I don't have a PC so I do everything by hand. I've used Mother's Sealer and Glaze which helps to cover up the swirls but doesn't take them away then I cover that with carnauba wax as a topper. It looks good with two coat of both products but it is a lot of work. Check out some of the posts or stickys on how to wash and dry your car and that will also help. Another product to cover up the swirls is Poorboy's Black Hole Glaze. I've had my car professionally detailed and that took care of the probem but the detailer said the swirls would come back and they have in a few spots but I've been able to control them for the most part. Everybody should have one black car. I know I won't have two, especially if it's a Toyota as they seem to have a soft clearcoat. There are also some products you can use by hand for swirl control but using a PC is best.
