Dont wash your car under hot sun. If you got water spots on your window, you have it on the car itself too.

  1. Prepare a 50/50 mixture of water and white vinegar.
  2. Soak a towel in the mixture and wipe down the area, making sure to keep it wet.
  3. Drape the towel on the area for a few minutes so that it stays in contact with the surface.
  4. Repeat the above process for severe spots.
  5. For larger areas such as glass shower doors, pour the mixture into a plastic spray bottle.
  6. Spray the mixture onto the glass, wiping frequently with the towel to help break down the limescale deposits.
  7. Rinse and squeegie the area clean. Then buff dry with a clean cloth.
If spots still are there: Spot-X Hard Water Stain & Spot Remover or a similar product

This should be moved to the "detailing & car care" section of this forum.

just windex, doesnt matter if its foam or liquid. then, wipe totally dry, then use rain x...a lot of it. spray that on a rag or paper towel, wipe it on the windows very liberally (for really bad water marks) and then let it haze for a minute...i wipe it on all my windows first then i start at the first window, and remove it with either a terry towel or paper towels. i never have water marks, and the water beads off when it rains, especially when im on the highway. i dont even use my rain x wipers lol

yep rain-x works really good. For first time use, I usually put on 2 coats, then just 1 coat every 3 or 4 weeks or so

Vinegar and Water....only thing I do is add some rubbing alchohol to the mix. Helps it to evaporate a little quicker and dry without any streaking.

I've heard that this stuff seems to work well for water spots.
