Tint Calculator?

Hey guys! I recently got my 02 Camry tinted 35% all around. I wanted to go with 30% or 28%, but they did not carry those percentages. The tint they put on isn't dark enough for me though and would like to make it a bit darker. How dark will my tint become if I ask for a layer of 50% on top of my 35%? Thanks!

do the math??? 35% on the base.. so only 35% of light can get through.. if you put 50% on top of that, what is 50% of 35? 17.5% VLT. Very dark IMO. I would stick with 35% because with my 20% all around, its hard to see at night

I did a quick google on where you live. I would read this link http://www.berwynheightspd.com/tinted%20windows.htm

Seams like you are at the limit threshold. Or possibly below it. I know where I live they take this serious and are starting to crack down on offenders.

Just get the entire car re-tinted. Shops are able to remove the previous tint easily for a small fee.

well having limo tint sure does help to shield my eyes from those idiots with the higher rated HID purple-hue bulbs!

In my area, I had the option of 5%, so only had the rear sides and back done...didn't want to have to explain myself if I ever got pulled over for having light tint on the driver's and passenger's window as well
