claying is stunning!

After canvassing Detailing & Car Care forum and reading many helpful suggestions I detailed my 05 Highlander. This HL has a very good finish with good shine but you could feel what so many posters had spoke about. Reading about the claying got me pretty excited. The claying results was stunning. I used Meguiar's Car products throughout from wash, claying, clearner polish, and synwax (but did not conclude with a carnauba paste wax finale). Even though the color is Vintage Gold Metallic (unlike red or black) the end results made me a believer in proper detailing. What is equalling stunning is that within 24hrs the HL felt as if the claying never occurred. The hood had that same rough sort of feeling that the claying had removed. The HL never left the carport. Its as iif the vehicle is a magnet drawing to it all these airborne contaminates. What's needed is a wax product with a reverse charge to repel these airborne nuisances. Hose water, along with a microfiber towel, brought the HL back to that glass clayed touch.

Ya' got me. No detail pics yet. The plan was to detail all day Sat. (which carried over to Sun). Anyway, the set would be by a local lake a'round sundown but wkends this location is congested making wkdays (Mon) the better opportunity to shoot. Remember Murphy? Tonight (Sun eve) local weather is forecasting FIVE days of rain/storms. This isn't fair. I became a member of TN a few weeks ago. My first post I'd asked what would be a good price on a 05 HL/L/30k. http://tinyurl.com/mk9ygy The next day I bought the car. I'd hoped to have gotten her detailed sooner. Here's a side test shot a few days after purchase before any detailing...but after a washing.

Not a problem. It's always great to see someone so dedicated to taking great care of their car...I respect that.
