4th Generation How to remove paint from tires and wheels...

I hear lots of things.

For tires: Paint thinner, lacquer, aircraft stripper...

For aluminum wheels: Everything in the book...

I have the 97 Gen 4 XLE Camry wheels that have some primer, overspray from Maaco...just need a quick touch up before giving it to my bro.

If you're just trying to remove overspray, have you tried claying?

I had a bunch of overspray on my 02 Sequoia last year following a bumper repair and clay took it off completely.

On the tires...it was from the Maaco paint...
On the wheels...black primer from a previous repair.

My bad. I missed the part where you said it was on the tires. I've never tried clay on rubber. Not sure how that would work.

Might want to try posting up on Autopia.org and see what kind of advice you get there. Lots of pro level detailers on that forum.
