Question 2010 Corolla Detailing

Hi everyone,

After looking a little bit in google I could not find anything that answer my question with the type of car wash soap that I bought.

Recently I bought the Turtle Wax T-146R F21 Car Wash, but when I start drying it, I didnt feel the "smoothly" surface again. What type of wax should I can buy for protect the paint of my new corolla using this kind of car wash?
Should I need to buy another car wash soap that include a wax? If I use a was separtely what good it is, and how often it is needed.

This is my really new brand new car and I want to protect it, thanks!

It's not smooth because there are contaminants on the surface. In order to get a smooth surface you'll need to clay bar the whole vehicle. There is a sticky at the top of the Detailing forum to help you out with that.

Maybe you ought to consider using a hose-spray wax when you wash your car. This way, you can shoot your car/rims, and dry it off. Good for basic maintenance.

Many companies had to drop entire lines of car wax products; some had to re-engineer their products. There are some others who are ignoring the regulations until sanctions are imposed against them. There is a revolution taking place in the car wax industry and it’s about time!

Wax doesn't remove the contaminants, it's a protectant. If you re-read my post above, I suggested you use an automotive clay bar to remove contaminants. Wax should be the very last step you do.

Clay Magic is a very good and inexpensive clay to use.

You can get it at autozone.

Can I combine it with the Meguiars Mist and wipe spray Quik Detailer as lubricant for the clay bar?

must be a crappy wash/wax product. after a few months of my tacoma getting filthy dirty i take it to a local car wash, then i use Turtle Wax "ICE" product (a synthetic product) and the truck is smooth as glass and towels slide like a puck on ice. on my cars i use Eagle One "Wax As U Dry" product regularly to keep it shining and protected. the Turtle Wax spritz wax also works well as a weekly product, etc. and definitely clay bar it then wax if you want the deepest shine. Zano makes a really nice bar/wax kit.

Please go to www.Autogeek.net and read the forums and how to sections. They will walk through washing, polishing, wax, and the tools and prep that must be taken to keep your paint looking showroom new.
