Canada Waxing with a 3M chipguard

I wanted to wax my car before the winter salt. I opted for the 3M chipguard clear film stuff instead of the bug deflector. I was wondering if anybody had any experience waxing/avoiding waxing the chipguard. Also, does it leave an apparent line or anything where the chipguard ends? Thanks!

You can wax the clear film and when you get to the line, instead of going in a circular motion, go from one end to the other, basically from one fender to the other.

^^^Yep, if you get wax on the "edge", just remove it or you will have a white outline...

Fiirst clean in w/any glass cleaner. Thens wax as you would normally do. I use Ice Paste Wax and had great results. My S is covered in 3m. Haedlights fogs, mirrors & all of the ground effects. The glass cleaner step was recommended to me by 3m directly. When I had it installed the shop gave me a can of aerosol cleaner supposedly made "specifically" for it and it sucks. Does nothing more than smudge it. I use the above process and I am totally satisfied w/the results.

I would be hesitant on using "any" glass cleaner. Some will eat the adhesive.

the film edge on my bumper is right on the very edge and is very hard to see.

Here's a link to the 3m protection section.

Many clear bra manufacturers recommend to avoid ammonia on clear bras, including glass cleaners with ammonia.

Also avoid aerosol glass cleaners (or other aerosol products).

You can polish or wax with any non-abrasive paint care product. FX SynWax by Mothers works really well on clear bras as it is non-abrasive and does not leave a chalky outline along the edges.

I've tried Plexus, followed the directions to the letter and it still looks dull. Any suggestions ?
