Black Magic Tire Wet

Do you know if this stuff will eat my rims or anything if it gets on them? Also does it turn the tires brown overtime? I got some overspray on my rims and am worried it might eat away the paint or something but I wiped it off. Thanks!

It'll be annoying to wipe off if you don't use a good towel but it shouldn't do any damage. Since its silicone based there is the likelihood of browning. Just don't do it on your driveway when you apply it. I've given up using Muaratic Acid on those spots since it doesn't shift that stuff -.-"

i used to get brown color from tire shine if i didn't clean the tire with bleche-wite first. i don't think the shine makes the brown, it just seals it in and makes it shiny. that's my take on it anyway.

Silicone based shines are generally sticky. While they do harden up a bit after initial application, they still attract a lot of dust still. That dust is pretty much road grime, which slowly browns the tire. When you strip the tire of whatever shine you have, generally the water based ones rinse off slightly gray. The silicone based ones usually release a lot of brown crap which can stain your driveway

I like using gels instead of sprays. Less fling and lasts longer
