Best Dash protectant??

1992 Toyota DLX 4x4. Grey soft plasiticy vinylish dash. Mine is still soft and shows no signs of hardening or cracking.

What is the best protectant to use to prevent deterioration? Not a big fan of Armor All. Whether it works or not, it seems to vaporize and leave an oily film on the windsheild.

I love 303 Aerospace Protectant, doesn't leave that oil film on the windshield like that AmorAll crap.

I'm with humanoid on that one. 303 is great for interiors, just not exteriors haha

Thanks. After my post was moved to the "detailing and car care" forum where I should have looked in the first place, I see plenty of opinion on dash protectants.

x3 on 303 Aerospace Protectant; I use their FabricGuard protectant as well and it works great at repelling liquids.

Usual suspects like eBay or from them directly. I just googled them and just found the lowest price, but I grabbed a gallon refill from autogeek.net when they had a sale a while back.

I always use Lexol Vinylex on the dash, vinyl top, tires, bumpers and in the engine compartment. You can used it on tires also. Vinylex reduces the discoloration that occurs as tires age (brown stuff) and the strong sunscreen filters out those harmful UV radiation further protecting your treated surfaces against fading and cracking.

armor-all should never be considered. It looks like it conditions but when it dries, it cracks and is worse than if you didn't apply it. I've tried their other products like their tire shine and it seems to do the same thing...dry out the rubber and make it look weathered!
