alternative to pressure washer for car washing

I have a pressure washer that I have been using to wash my car for a few years. It has a soap dispenser to make it easy to spray soap on my car. The only disadvantage is its VERY noisy and the time it takes to hook up, the electric cables all over the driveway etc....

I wanted to try something different.

is there any type of attachment or something that I can put on my water hose to wash my car that also has a soap dispenser?

Why the need for a pressure washer in the first place? I think it'll do more damage than help. I just use the 2 bucket method, one with soap and one to rinse the sponge in. Going old school is the way to go IMO.

Pressure washers are great actually, with the exception of the downsides that I have mentioned. My 2005 Highlander paint looks virtually brand new, but I was just wondering if there was something close to it without all the noise.

I go with the non tech 2 bucket method as well. An I have 2 cloths a lambs wool for the car and a synthetic for the wheels. Since I have hard water I squeegee the car dry after.

All the time it takes to setup the washer and brake it down I bet I am finished before you

It doesn't strip the wax or anything as long as you do the dilution ratios correctly. Also, if you find the right soap, you can limit the buckets to just 1 soap bucket since most of the gunk slides off with the foam cannon. That and its hella fun to play with as the OP probably knows

To OP: if you MUST use an alternative with the hose, check out the Gilmour Foam Gun. Its what I used before I sold it for my cannon. It was useful while I had it

I only use a pressure washer on a large vehicle ( large SUV or 4x4 ), on a car I always been using the 2 bucket method with the grit guards in place.

Worked well enough for me for about a year before the itch for a foam cannon was too great

Do you still have it? What about the P21S Pre Wax Cleaner? I'd like to buy both off you.

I sold it once I got my foam cannon unfortunately. OH! It was YOU! Sorry, I deleted all old PM's that I haven't looked at in a while so I sorta forgot who asked me about it

Shipping was $5 on top of $10 I believe. Send me PM if you're interested so I can give you paypal and get your address

Haha I was really more concerned about the foam gun at this point, but thanks anyway.
