Uneven paint. Help

A car bumped into my front bumper of my new black sand pearl 2010 Corolla and scratched up the paint. I used 600 grit sandpaper to even it and then I tried using Duplicolor Perfect Match and Clear Coat to paint over it but now the paint is thicker than the original paint. How can I solve this problem?

I have pictures of this. Sorry they are unclear and it's very reflective but I think it will give you a better idea of it.

I really can't give professional advice on this type of repair, but it would normally be blended-in so you don't see a straight cut-off from the repair to the body.

If you didn't view the video, there's one here that may be helpful:

That repair is a bit simpler than the one you did, and it is much less visible.

But basically you may need to wet sand a little bit with an assortment of perhaps 1200-2500 to blend it in, and you will likely need to respray the clear.

You might Google around for other helpful videos and tips, or contact Duplicolor.
