USA How to buff the hood...

1st post, I just picked up an '05 Corrola LE with 10,455 on the clock from an old lady who will not need it anymore (estate sale $6500). The hood looks funny like I should buff it out. I have a new Makita variable speed buffer what do I use to make this possible? Thanks Joe

Photo please.

If it's original paint, it could be oxidized clearcoat, which might be addressed by some California Gold Pre-Wax Cleaner applied by hand.

I would proceed with caution on using a rotary on your car unless you have some experience with it, or if you are using a microfiber synthetic or foam pads designed for use on automotive paint and a forgiving polish like our Professional Foam Pad Polish.

Yeah it depends on exactly whats wrong with the paint, need a little more specific or a picture would be great. And about the buffer, I would highly advise anyone NOT to use a rotary buffer unless you are extreamly confident. In my opinion its just too easy to do damage to the paint rather than actually fixing anything. Gotta go with a DA buffer. I just dropped about $300 but that included the buffer and every density pad I could need and it was well worth it, actually just removed some swirls from my car today with it.
