Long lasting wax/sealant/glaze

I don't care so much about shine and finish as much as durability of whatever I apply. What's a long lasting product I can apply to protect the paint? Six months or a year in between applications with the car sitting outside in full sun and coastal fog would be great. I am less than 1 mi from the Pacific Ocean.

Even better is if it can help prevent damage from bird droppings, ease cleaning of bugs, if it's a realistic expectation. I try to clean bird droppings off the same day, but realistically I really only drive the car about 2 or 3 days out of the week since I'm not commuting by car.

I really don't have as much time to take care of my vehicle nowadays.

I'm not mentioning Mother's products to toot our sponsor's horn but I got a sample of their carnauba paste wax to review a while back and I gotta say, I'm impressed at how long its lasted. I'm the type to strip and wax 2 or 3 times per year as a base then hit the brushless drive thru washes in between.
