sunroof lubricant

My 1999 Solara has a factory sunroof. The rubber seal is sticking and preventing it from opening smoothly. I have cleaned it with degreaser & applied several lubricants that have not solved the problem. I am going to Walgreen's to buy some vaseline petroleum jelly hoping this will be the end of it. (In the old days when T-Tops would leak we would soak the rubber mouldings with brake fluid.) My question is; What would you use?
