I have turtle way rubbing compound, polishing compound and Maguires Carnuba wax (spelling*). I am going to purchase and orbital buffer. I recall some body shops or detail shops had some sort of liquid buffing agent in a squeeze bottle, they seemed to have different colors for different colors of vehicle paint. Does anyone know what I should use to make my paint look awesome? I also have that New Finish once a year stuff in the orange bottle, not sure if that will get the desired results. Thank you for your time and help.

An orbital buffer will not remove any sort of defects such as scuffs and scratches. What you need is a dual action buffer such as a Porter Cable 7424XP. IMO, I would not use Turtle Wax rubbing compound as it is basically a low end compound in terms of quality.
Since you are a beginner, here is what I would recommend: Purchase a proper dual action polisher. Get a clay bar kit, such as Meguiar's Smooth Surface clay kit. Get a light cutting or a polishing pad for the buffer (they usually come with the buffer if you buy a kit). Meguiar's M205 polish is a great, easy to use polish. The wax you have will be fine for the job. Also, Nu-finish hardly works. Waste of money IMO.
Proper steps to detailing:
Wash, clay, polish, wax.
Also, check out Pb's detailing thread. Very informative.
