Removing stains from fabric seats

I have a dark stain (like oil) what is best? soap& hot water? carpet cleaner?

Moved to the Detailing & Car Care forum. There's a bunch of past threads in here discussing stain removal worth checking out. Personally, I use a carpet cleaner called Folex Stain Remover. Works miracles. It's a surfactant that you spray on the stain, let sit about a minute, and then rub vigorously. I swear by that stuff!

^i found folex lying around at home, used it fell in love. removed most of my friends used oil stain spill too

Turtle Wax Power Out Carpet or interior upholstery cleaner can also work wonders with a little elbow grease.

Optimum Power clean is a very good product. I have also had some good good luck fabic seats with a 10 parts water one part woolite mixture in a spray bottle. Its also good at remove ink.
