That's the max pressure you can safely inflate the tires to before it blows off the rim, not the pressure to run normally in the tire. You can generally inflate a bit to seat the bead, but then it needs to be lowered once it's seated.

For most cars, the pressure is around 30PSI. And yes, I mean cars, not trucks, suv, minivan etc. My truck at work has 80 PSI in the tires and HUMVEEs get 20 or 25 PSI IIRC.
