2nd Generation 89 Camry Problem

I have a 1989 Toyota Camry FF 2.0L DOHC EFI w/Ram Air Automatic. I was racing the other night and all my friends ask me why my motor does this. I will hold the gas on and the brake to keep my power but my engine won't go over 2,000Rpm's. Could anyone tell me how I can fix this. It is a major performance issue that I need to fix.

Thanks,
Blue Demon Cam

1) WTF is Ram Air...?
2) Theres no need to explain that your motor is DOHC, since, we know its a 3SFE.
3) You have an automatic, and having the accell and brake on at the same time, causes the engine to rev to the torque converter RPM, which is around 2krpm.
4) You shouldn't be racing.

1) I made a ram air intake
2) It's always good. Some people don't always know the engine.
3) Thank you
4) I like the way my auto goes expect the rev problem. I don't like the manual in this year.

Funny thing is not all automatics are like that. I know for a fact my friends saturn didn't do that. He also had a rebuild automatic like mine. I don't have a stall converter you dumb ass.

BWWAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH!

Dude....Unless you've put in a new torque converter and Transmission BUILT for racing (Plus a wicked turbo setup) your doing nothing but destroying your car.

Ur funny!

Your Friends Saturn is a economy Chevy product.....I really hope your doing all this at a track BTW. Street racing is just plain DUMB!

Well maybe you can tell me how your engine doesn't stall when you come to a rest? Ahh thats right, you must have one of these semi-sequential transaxles...with the clutch pedal...or is that automatic too ..

Better watch who your calling a dumbass. I only see one here, which is you.

Your automatic transmission has a torque converter. Torque converters have a stall speed.
