2nd Generation Gen 2 Power Antenna

just a quick question about my power antenna. when i replaced my factory radio with an aftermarket radio, the power antenna stopped working. i'm just trying to get it to stay up now..i don't really care about it going up and down. could i just touch the power and ground leads to a 9 volt battery to get the antenna up or what? any suggestions are appreciated and thanks ahead of time.

Attach the signal lead that goes to the power antenna to accessory power. I'll stay up whenever the key is in the 'ACC' or 'ON' positions...
