91 Camry brake and battery warning lights ON

After starting, my 91 Camry brake and battery (or alternator) warning lights suddenly came ON for may be 2-3 minutes then OFF for the rest of the trip. Can anyone tell me what is wrong and need to be done. Thanks for the HELP!

Most likely cause of that is a worn/bad alternator.

You sure it's not a loose spare tire?

Its low on alternator fluid and/or the alternator timing is off. Need a special alternator timing light to check it though.

Check the tension on the belt, it may be slipping when you start the car.

It worked fine until I fixed it!

ditto here on my accord (delphi) right at 100k

hmm, I wonder if one can just change the brushes and call it a day? will be much much cheaper than a new alternator.

Just a reply to everyone who gave me helpful information. Yes, it is the alternator! During the weekend, I measure the voltage across the baterry with the engine running and sure enough the DVM read 12.15VDC while it should be between 14.10 - 14.40 VDC. I went to autozone bought a new one and put it in. The problem is fixed. Thanks again to every one.
