2nd Generation optima battery gen 2?

would an optima battery work in my gen 2. on the optima battery website it says no but i don't believe them. just checking.

If its a matter of fitment then just do some DIY remodifications.

Optima battery is over-hyped. I have used them at work and worked with them, they are not a miracle battery by any means. if you run them dead they are hard or impossible to recharge. With lead acid you get two run downs at least, with optima, maybe none at all. that's been my experience.

The only people who can really benefit from them IMO are 4 wheeler vehicle people who go out and beat the vehicle off-road. In this application, Optima could be better because there are no plates to loosen like lead acid.
For the cost of an optima you could get 2 die hards and 1 of these would probably outlast your car.
