2nd Generation bleeding the cooling system.

hi guys, we just bought a 91 camry in fair condition with 175k.

I was just wondering if anyone knew the exact bleeding procedure for the cooling system. I'm going to be repairing the top of the tank as its leaking, and will be getting a new radiator in soon. anyone with info please help.

ALEX

Bleeding is not neccasary, any air that you introduce to the system works its way out fairly quickly. I flushed out my whole cooling system with no problems whatsoever.

the top tank is higher than the water jackets in the motor and the air will work its way to the jug, just watch the level

I've changed the coolant on cars of all make and model over the years and never had a problem wit this, been lucky i guess. But if you want to be on the safe side and burp it anyways, after the cooling change just run the engine with cap off until the thermostat opens (after about 10 min of idle tou might see/feell a rush of water thru the hole or thru the upper radaitor hose. And then just squeeze the hose a couple of times and this usually works. (BURP lol
