1st & 2nd Generation (1983–1986 & 1987-1991)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1983-1986 & 1987-1991.
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
So I finally put down the money last week friday. 455 for B+G springs and KYB shocks. Should be here tomorrow and installed friday.
the bad news.
Intrax springs are discontinued. There might be a few suppliers with a box or two laying around then that's the end of it. Pretty soon we'll have to look to australia for suspension pieces. I can't wait for my brother to get to japan so he can tell me if he comes across anything decent for an SV22.

well he'll be over there for 3 years in the navy so if all goes well and i'm out of school before he comes back I'll try to see if he can source me a front clip so I can do possibly the first rhd conversion on an American SV22. But for now I just want suspension pieces. I want to get this car almost on par with a go kart. lol not really but I want a decently firm suspension. Body roll scares me.lol I'm praying he strolls into autobacs and finds some sv22 coilovers. that with the whiteline underpinings should definitely make this car fun to toss around.
How is your suspension setup with the whitelines? Confidence inspiring? My 05 EP3 made me feel untouchable on dry roads and that was with the stock suspension. I'm hoping the camry with these mods will get to that level or even surpassing but I don't want to get my hopes up.lol

oh dear... no more intrax suspension springs? well poo. I guess I'm going to get a custom made suspension system made for my car anyhow... cause i want more than what the KYB gr-2 offers in suspension. eventually I want to get an sv25 anywho.... and drift it... or convert my sv21 to awd and drift it...
my suspension's fine with whiteline bars.. the rear does more than the front.. but i figured i get both anyways...i can keep up on the mountains downhill with my friend's cars rx8 and miata.. but uphill that's like a model T trying to catch a porshce .....u sure you want a sv22 conversion?? i have one in my garage... the front end and i'm gonna get the rear bumper later....but it's a total different car almost.. it's like converting the camry into es250.. i can show u pics of what the front end looks like if you want...i haven't done anything with it cause i want to work on my suspension some more first

I want to get some custom coilovers made but that'll be later on. for now my next main goal is getting an aluminum radiator mounted and doing other small things to get the car ready for the 3sgte swap later this year.

globalperformanceparts.com carries whiteline and superpro parts. or you can check the groupbuy section for em...i got mines from raptorracing... tell him i sent you .. bushing kit is going to take awhile most of the parts aren't in stock in the US.. i ordered mine and it's been almost a month.. it has to be shipped over from australia by ship so that's gonna take months.. but it's cool
ok for the vista pics hopefully mine will look like this later
here's what i bought.. i also got the headlights and grill but it's not in the picture
the main reason for it cause i wanted to be the only one with the sv22 front end but you'r in FL so it's not like i'm gonna run in to you so go for it!!

nah never mind teh sv22 conversion. I'll stick to the australian headlights and nose bar for now.
My exterior plans for the camry include : Australian headlights and nose bar, Erebuni front lip, and Euro rear trunk lip spoiler. After I have em all repaint the car in the same Ice Blue Pearl.
These headlights and grill.
With your amount of suspension work did you need a camber kit?
I went to global and I don't see prices. How much for the front and rear sways and also how much for the bushings? Could you pay extra for them to air mail your bushings?

those are not the aussie headlights... those are jdm sv21 headlights/grill/corner lights.. i'd know i'm bought em from japan for joey.... you can msg raptorracing in the groupbuy section he's the one that's getting em for me... it's cheaper than from global parts... i saved like 60$ on the swaybars... from him than from the website... wasn't an option for air mail and i didn't want to pay for it anyways... i'm ok waiting for the bushings.... nope no camber kit needed... still within specs..... ok i found it... fsb was 136$ rsb was 112$ bushing kit was 145$... doesn't include shipping it's probbly cheaper for you since i'm all the way in CA
