Installing the engine tomorrow

Hey all, for those who have been following my project, I will be installing my new (junkyard) engine tomorrow.

The past few days were spent getting it ready. Timing belt, water pump, swapping over the intake from the old engine to the new. That's quite a process. Attaching the transmission.

I have a 91 DX Auto V-6.

Anything I should be looking out for? Any landmines that an inexperienced mechanic like me should know?

I couldn't have gotten this far without your help.

Dale

Most important is don’t get in a hurry. If things don’t fit or work the first time, back off and think about it. Double check all work. Make sure all the fluids are installed. Once the engine starts, do a quick check for leaks, strange noises and smells. After you have run it for a time, recheck everything.
