2nd Generation 91 cam strut choices and lowering Q's

As you guys know I have a 91 dx with intrax and stock struts. Come spring ill be getting new ones. I have sealed struts so I need kyb's gr2's. only problem is that the way the car sits now, the rear is up in the air and i want to even it out AND get rid of all fender gap. basically i want it to sit even and lowered so its a little tucked. any suggestions on the # of coils I should take out on front and back? thanks

2nd Generation lowering

If I got Kyb GR2's would they be able to handle these cheap coilovers?

if you're gonna buy cheap coil over sleaves, you might as well just cut the springs, would handle better.

aftermarket springs from a celica/mr2 should work also, give those a shot.

do you mean coilovers? because i already have intrax I was told that 90-93 celica front coilovers will work but the back ones will have to be from a rav4 or something stupid like that

rears from a celica will work, but not fronts. youll have to mod fronts to get them to work

BUT, thats not what i was suggesting, regular lowering springs from a celica 87-93 should work fine with your KYB struts.

tommy, fronts from a celica will fit

i've test fitted my st185 coilovers into the camry already and they are fine. the only problem i had is that my camber top orientation is not how i'd like it, but it works fine nevertheless.

rears may fit, but i'm not entirely sure as i havent had a chance to get my hand on any. best bet would be to ask for some measurements first to make sure it'll fit.

Really? I never tried it myself, but hears what I heard from a friend who did, little bit of background - gen5-6 celica springs/struts theoretically work with gen4, BUT this guy tried the struts from a gen5 celica on his gen2 camry and they would not work - rears were fine, but fronts were not. If you're saying it will work, i guess the theory with celica's is off, one way or another, interesting theory.
