Hey all, I need an idea, I am getting ready to put a 2vzfe into my car and am wondering how to get rid of the retarded way the front bank dumps the exhaust over the bell and into the back bank manifold, I want a set that exits downwards so i can just run the front bank underneath and out the back along side the pipe from the rear bank so i can have a true dual setup? Will a 3vzfe set fit?
3VZFE won't fit...(tried em ) So custom is the only other answer. Its pretty easy to get flanges made up and start bending some pipe for it to fit to whatever you want.
If you need any pics of my extractors, which exit downwards, let me know.

Yep they are custom made.
The head/flange is what stops them from working. There may also be issues with they way they run, because the Gen 3 has a completely different undercarriage to the Gen 2...so crossmembers and steering components may get in the way. But they certainly don't bolt up, so that would be the first thing to figure out (maybe using an adaptor plate or something).

I admire your dedication and attention to detail, cool!! Anyhow do you have any more pictures of the undercarrige? I have a 91 Lexus (2VZFE) and im want to do a similar mod. I was particularly concerned about about how you routed the front pipe below, did you remove the center support or do camrys lack this? Thanks
Hey there.. Thankyou!
Everything is original in terms of mounts and supports. There is a centre mount on the N-S member which wasn't effected. There is a gap small enough to fit the pipe straight under the sump and over the top of that E-W member. And then as you can see, the Y-pipe is just after that.
It's my understanding that the ES250 shares the same undercarriage/chassis as the Camry, so all should be the same if you can follow what i've done here.
Found some more pics:
Cheers

Man, that is an awesome job. It's nice how the front pipe just sneaks over that crossmember, and nice how it fits snugly next to the oil pan...I probably wouldn't have believed it without the pics. Kudos on a custom job done right...

Honda my A$$, you just can't kill a Yota...
Any advice on how best to turbocharge the 2VZ-FE? The exhaust system is weird. Can I simply just tap the front exhaust valves? I got 80k miles on it and it's still running like new. The auto tranny can't handle much more than 300 HP, so my goal is somewhere close to that. Installing the E153 tranny is too expensive for me. I heard this engine has got some strong stock internals.
