Got my rims, They rock .lugnuts?

Drove to Ohio last night to pick up my celica rims and tires $325. Thanks for everybodys ideas bout them. I put them up beside the car and they are going to make a night and day differance in the car.

I didn't get the lug nuts with them and I have no Idea what to get. I called the Toyota Dealer and they said$6 bucks each $120 OUCH

Anybody know a online or aftermarket store cheaper. I have no Idea what to get or what there even called
Tuner? 12 x 1.5?. I found some of those on e-bay but dont know if they will work.

Thanks for the help. Also the rims are the 15 in dual 5 spoke kind.

Wow what a difference these babies are gonna make if I can get them on

The lugs I need do I know go though the wheel and take a washer

Heck I dont know what Gen they are. They are I'm pretty sure these are the ones for 2000 to 2005. Thats what the e-bay add said anyways. They are 15 inch and are dual spoked. http://my.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...grateVisitor=3

Not sure if link posted right. Never have posted one before.

Anyways these wheels had washers on them at the lugs I can tell and it looks like the lug shank should go all the way through the rim. I'm almost positive my stock camry lugs wont work as theres no bevel in these new celica rims

Did you get to see them in the link? Have you run those wheels before with the stock lugs?
I'm sure that these at least had washers on them as i can tell from marks on the rims

Thats what made me call Toyota and they told me that it was a certain type lug for these rims and only Toyota made them and that he was positive and had seen it all the time and new exactly what I was talking about. He did say I might find them online somewhere. Local Specialty Wheel shop told me the same thing but local general auto parts store said they did have a aftermarket part number. I'm lost

But I hate to spend $120 on lugnuts if I dont have too.

Yep thems the ones. Last questions Tommy. did you have stock steel wheels on that camry with the bevled type lugs and did you run washers on the new wheels.

Also how long did you run them like that?

Thanks for your help man.

Anybody else have any ideas.

not sure what type of beveled lugs you're talking about, if you take a picture, i can match it, but im pretty sure there was nothing special about them, looked like any other stock lug. I had those rims on that car for over 2 years, no problems at all. Used the same lugs that held the stock steelies on.

the only thing that worried me was that the studs seemed a little too short for the wheels, but it never created a problem.

well the stock steelies and most all I've ever seen have kind of a recessed bevel built into the rim and the lugs are kinda the opsit kinda bevle to match up to a stock wheel. That way it centers the wheel better on the studs upon tightening and also doesn't put all the pressure on any certain point but pressures the whole lug part that makes contact with the wheel.

These wheels are just completly flat. Thats whats throwing me for a loop. The lug can only really conect to the outerlip

I at one time long ago new alot about rims and tires and sao forth but times have changed alot and I havent kept up at all. Also this is the first Japanese car I wheeled up so I'm lost.

I never liked Toyota till I got on and man is it bulletproof. Love them now.

Anyways I think thats how wheels work but I dont know about these

Just to let annybody know thatsearches in the future for this tye of question if anyone Tommy is right the stockl camry lugs will work ( or have for me so far 30 miles). But there is no doubgt they are not the correct lugnuts for these celicsa rims. I put them on tonight and you can watch the lug grinding off the alminum or whatever it is geetin down to a secure fit. but I'd say 99% good to go. Just make sure too check them after a few miles or so and evry so often.
Man what a difference these rims made over the stock steelies.

Thanks for all the help here.
Long live a rockin camry.

Be my next car too.

and the rims suggestions were the best. Good ride descent handling and no fitment problems with an pretty awsum look

Have you ever thought about going to your local tire store and asking for the correct lugs? They should be able to get them for you in a day or three.

VERY SIMPLE!!!

The Celica rims require flat-flange lug nuts, not the angled lug nuts that are stock on the Camry. I got a (used stock) set free from a buddy that worked at a local America's Tire for my Celica GTS rims.

Sure I though of that. The local specialty wheel shop thats been here for 30 years told me the same thing that the Toyota guy told me. That they dont have them and that new celica rims were a factory part. No aftermarket lugs made for them. I dont know if thats true or not but both the Toyota guy and the wheel shop guy acted like they knew what they were talking about

I think I'm just going to run the stocker lugs that came on my camry unless someone else has a reason why I should'nt . So far so good anyways. When I tightened them, YOu could kinda see them grindind into the wheel, Little slivers of metal coming of. I guess maybe that will kinda make it own bevle in the wheels anyways. Hope its safe
