Emergency Brake Cable

Hi,
I have an 89 Camry 4cyl 5spd with the regular drum rear brakes and one of my e brake cables snapped off where the cable enters the drum. Has anyone done this replacement before?? I was wondering whether there are several cables. There only appears to be one attached to the handle, but there is a cable that goes to each rear wheel. does anyone know where they come together and whether it is worth trying to throw a new one in there or to just take it in and pay over 100$. I dont have the special tool apparently required to do work on the rear brakes yet.
thanks,
James

just pull the whole assemby from the junk yard it'd be cheaper than 100$...the cable from the ebrake lever...splits to the 2 rear brakes it's under the exhaust pipe.. near the middle of the car is where you can wedge it lose to get that cable that goes to each brake..
