Can anyone tell me what I need to do to replace the timing belt? Do you need to remove the motor mount?

Here are some factory manuals offered courtesy of some considerate person, i'd think the 87 manual would work -

1986 is 2se and 1987-91 is 3sfe, so it's probably different.

Yes the motor mount is needed to be removed.The procedure is very similar.

You DON'T need to remove the motor mount. I just removed the entire head a few days ago which included removing the timing belt, without removing the motor mount. It may look tight between the upper belt cover and motor mount but I could squeeze the cover out with a little struggle. Once the cover is off there is plenty of room to get the belt off. Now getting the cover back on with the M.M. in place is another event that I'll find out about shortly.

put the cover in hot water, it will make it more flexible

when I removed my timing belt I had to remove the motor mount in order to get off one last bolt, right infront of the mount.
It was the last bolt holding on the timing covers, although I have an 85 camry, so there might be a slight difference there
