2se, cylinder head and cover removal

I am going to be removing my cylinder cover and head from my 85 camry to get a better understanding of what happens in there, then Im gonna be cleaning the head and head cover and put on new gaskets i possibly may do the intake manifold too... Ive never done it before But I see how it would be done so
any tips or suggestions that might help me would be good thanks..

If it works, dont fix it. To me, the only reason to remove the head is to repair something or have the valves done.
Before i did all these things you're talking of and all that for no apparent reason, do a compression check and if its low, send the head out for rebuilding. Otherwise i'd leave it alone. (???)
