Anyone know what's good to use to really clean and restore the appearance of the black bumpers on our cars? I detailed my car this past weekend, and everything looks great with the exception of the bumpers. I know they also have the potential of looking nearly new because they don't have any sun damage, cracking, or scratches at all. I tried Armor All with limited success, but it leaves the bumper really streaked looking. Armor All itself is not supposed to actually clean, it only protects. I think Armor All would do a good job of restoring the appearance once they're cleaned good, and presumably wouldn't streak as bad. For some reason, they don't clean up very well with a simple car wash.

I've been using STP "Son of a gun one step tire care" tire cleaner on my bumpers, it takes a few applications but seems to work really well.

Thanks for that tip, es250nut. I was wondering if some sort of tire cleaning product would work on it. I'll give it a try. Never fails though, EVERY TIME I have detailed this car, it RAINS FOR DAYS afterwards. Nice beads on my car though.

Mother's Back-To-Black always works well. Those big rubber bumpers are a pain to keep looking good.

Kiwi shoe dye supposedly works pretty well to.

Shoe dye? That makes sense, I bet it would work well.
