2nd Generation eXplosion???
ok my 90 dx has been running like crap lately and sounding funny.... imagine*sounds like tugboat on crack* lmao... but i checked it all out today whiile trying to fix an oil leak and low and bhold it was a couple things.....

Shattered Plugs
Blown Plug wires
Distributor Blown the bottom out at high rpms...... ? dont ask me
and valve pan gasket leak
replaced it all and got it running good again but my question is *HOW DID I MAKE A DISTRIBUTOR BLOW THE BOTTOM CLEAN OUT OF IT?????*

Just a guess...

It's possible that with some bad plugs, unburnt fuel got by the rings getting into the crankcase and evaporated getting into the distributor causing it to blow when the rotor sparked on the cap.
