2nd Generation Anybody ever heard of Sachs Struts??

My mechanic installed Sachs struts on my Camry today. Ive never heard of this Company and was wondering if anybody out there heard of them and know if they are any good or not.....
He convinced me to stay away from the KYBs, even though I was willing to pay the extra cash for them.
He explained that they might be too stiff and perhaps blow out the strut mounts(sounds weird)
Either way, the car feels a thousand times better then before.
He charged me $400 for the job all together($200 for labor and $50 per strut)....not bad at all I think!

Used on Saabs

The Sachs shocks and struts are OEM on Saabs. At least the early 90's 9000. When I had my Saabs they needed to be replaced around 150k miles or so.

Thanx guys......yeah, I did some research on them, it seems like they were used on alot of German cars. So far so good, I love them!
They are perfect, not too firm and not too soft.
It's amazing how well these Gen2s handle with good struts!!
I bet these cars handle just about as well as any 2007 sedan(if not better)!

Lol.... don't go drive any '07 cars if you want to keep that opinion.

I'm sure the struts are perfect with stock springs and made a big improvement though.

My pops is a used car dealer, and I have on the occasion driven some new cars from dealer auctions and I can honestly say that I dont see much difference handling-wise (acceleration is however a different story )

I can tell you for sure, that the 2nd gen camrys handle nice for old cars, but I'm sure when you're drivin those newer cars around you're not autox'ing them. :-D I'm sure you'd notice a huge difference in handling if you were!
