Tire size question

Hi all,

I have a 91 Camry with 185 70 14 sized tires and I have a set of winter tires from another car that measure 175 65 14. Anybody know if they will fit? ? ? I realise that there will be a variance in the speedometer reading but are there any other reasons I should not give this a shot to save a few dollars?

Thanks for you help!

If you don't drive regularly on the highway for a long range such as 100km or more every day then I don't see how you'd have a problem. The speedometer would read about 5mph faster than you're actually going and to compensate you would have to run at a slightly higher rpm but not so much higher than it would harm the engine or dramatically reduce MPG.

175mm width tires for deep snow is great for a lighter car such as our Camrys.

PS, they will fit if you have stock width wheels.
