2nd Generation camber

I was at the junkyard today and noticed a 89 with the struts taken out of the front, then noticed the top hole in the knuckle was alot bigger than the bottom one and then found on the ground 2 eccentric adjustment cams with the bolts still in them, you can adjust the camber in this car!!!! I looked at all the other camrys and they looked like mine with no cams on the bolts but did notice some corollas and tercels with cams, is this something the owner did or was it factory because i do not remember ever seeing one of these cams on any camry?

You didn't know this already Fred? How long have you owned your car?? :P
It's really just for minor adjuistments when getting a wheel alignment. It won't give you any noticable effects when trying to dial in camber.

The presence or absence of the cams is year/country of manufacture based, I think... My Camry has one of each type on it! (don't ask how - it was that way when I got it!)

^ Your car is JPN as in, import model? Weird because your car has the USA bumpers, lights, valance and parking indicators...

These features generally were phased out during 1989.
Some cars must still have these.

The camber is adjustable on my wagon. I noticed it when I replaced the struts. I'll have to look at the other cars in my collection.
