vin number question

okay, I have a vin sv21, but i see some other camry's listen on sale have a vin sv22

what is the difference between the sv21 and sv22? also I though that sv25 is the alltrac chasis vin?

i see a car listed with a vin number sv22, and its an LE... and i also has an alltrac badge on it as well... are sv22's alltrac as well?

I'm looking around to find an alltrac 2nd gen camry. might be trying to buy one... provided its a sedan, not wagon.

Also, look for one with the vin starting with a J. Those are assembled in Japan.

SV21 = base and DX model
SV22 = LE model
SV25 = all trac

All the SV are 4 cyl (3S-FE).

VZV = V6 (2VZ-FE).

Actually...

VV (No Z's)= V6

(Those are 2 V's BTW, not a W)

Here's a V6 VIN example:

This was also how it was on my sister's old 89 Camry LE V6.

okay, i see that sv22 is the chasis code for the LE model, however I still am wondering about are there sv22's that are all wheel drive... one that I saw listed locally had the vin number sv22. it was an LE, and in the picture it also had the alltrac badge on the rear of the car. i was just wondering if this car is the real deal being awd... or if someone just got an alltrac badge and stuck it on the car... you know, since the vin number was sv22 and not sv25...

i wouldnt really have need for another fwd camry since i already have one... i want to see about getting an awd camry for a reasonable price (500-1000 dollars)

Hey,

Just a quick note.

In the land down under (Australia to anyone who doesn't know) the difference is this....
SV21 - has the 3s-fe
SV22 - has the 3s-f
VZV21 (i think thats wrong) - has the 2vz (don't know much about V6 camrys)

To put it in another way, here SV22 had a carby, i know i had one :P. But my fuel injected one is so much better.

I have no idea the difference in the states. Hope that helps somewhat.

Cheers
Matt
