Since no one seemed to care about all the work i did on the speaker pods, wonder if they'll be any response to this thread...
The list
Alpine 9856
Infinity 7541A 4ch amp - 111w x4@ 4ohm or 139w x4 @2ohm
Helix Precision HXS236 6.5 components
2 - ED EU-700's in a eD box
Since the camry has shitty stock speaker size/locations, as we all know - had to make these, as i mentioned in the first post.
step one, build the frame
step two, wrap with fleece
Starting the glass
And completed
Installed these with the Helix components that i picked up from Cam2xrunner like 9 months ago.
I flush mounted the tweeter into the door
Installed the head unit, amp and subs next
Hows it all sound?? Well, id have to say damn good. Its not as fancy as a lot of the awesome stuff ive seen on here, im running the helix's with just the passive crossovers, its a cheaper amp, but it sounds 10x better than anything else ive put together/heard around where i live.
These helix components are sweet though, and the EU-700's do exactly what i wanted them to; they add bass and fill out the lower end without drowning out anything, and they get surprisingly loud/deep. Eventually ill mount them on the rear deck to get them out of the floor, but for now they do fine right there.
Anywys, thats the first install incarnation of this car, eventually ill redo the door panels, make them look better, possibly add a bigger subwoofer to get some more bass, but this will do for now.
