88 camry no high beams

1988 Camry has no high beams. Replaced both bulbs (pass side was bad). Both fuses (L& R are good). Pulled the "cap" off the relay and it is moving back and forth when the light switch is turned on. The blue high beam indicator light comes on. And the high beams work when pull the lever back to the momentary position. I would think the switch would be good if it will turn on the indicator light??? Am I missing something is there a way to test the relay??? Travis

lite in the dash is a separate circuit, get a test lite and see if your getting power to the bulbs and leaving the switch on hi

switch in the stalk is probably bad. crack open the steering coloum, find the wires that lead to the stalk, and start testing the switches.

Bump:

Just wondering what the cause was on this problem, was it a bad combo switch? The Alltrac I picked up has the same problem.
