coolant leaking

ok, i'm not very 'car' but here goes: (please correct my terminologies)

i have a 1991 camry SV21. coolant is leaking from the timing belt housing. there is a small hole a few mm wide, just near where the bottom radiator hose joins the thermostat. it comes out one drip at a time. recently the water pump was replaced with (apparently) a new one. does this mean the job was done incorrectly, that the new water pump is faulty, or that there is something else in there that could be causing the problem?

thanks for any advice...

Sounds like a shaft seal of the new pump is leaking, indicating the defective pump. Therefore, the pump must be changed. Do not use JMB brand. They tend to fail very fast.

then take it back to whoever changed it. not sure how warranty works on labour, but at least they shouldn't charge you for the cost of a new pump.
