Hello all, I own a 1990 Camry Le 4 cyl, it's old, simple and very dirty and recently some fucker try to jack my car but all they did was fuck up my lock so I can't get inside. This is my 3rd time someone trying to steal my car. I need a way to get inside so I can move the car before the street cleaning. I try to go in from the trunk but my damb ass lock the back seat so I can't go in. Is there an easy way to get inside? And is there a door lock that prevent people from trying to steal my car again?
Since you don't want to be towed, call a locksmith.
There is a special tool for unlocking the gen 2 camry. I used to have a lock out kit, and I've done it many times. Once you see it, you can bend your own version from thin steel rod.
Your key should still work in the other door, right?
This particular tool is inserted into the door on the outside, rotated under the window, and the business end is brought up on the inside. The very end of the rod is positioned against the door lock nub, and the lock is lifted to the open position.
Never saw one, but it sounds simple and effective. Maybe a bit TOO simple, which is maybe why the Gen 2 held the title for the most stolen car for so long.
One of the hands-down easiest cars to get into are the mid to late 70's Firebirds/Camaros. You literally stick a slim-jim straight down over the door handle (between the glass & door seal) and watch the lock button pop up. You could almost get into one faster with a slim-jim than with a key.
https://www.speeding.co.uk/acatalog/...Locks_103.html i've gone and replaced my stock locks with these... you can buy them for about 40-60$ if you need help getting them i can refer you to places i know locally.. if you're in the LA area.... and i assure you these locks work.. once you lock it you can't even open it from the inside you can't even pull the tab up.. so short of breaking the window and climbing to the front from the back there's no other way into the car

I finally got in using a coat hanger, it was hard and took pretty long but it work LOL. Thanks everybody. Now I need a new lock, I dont want to buy a high tech security system cuz my car doesnt worth much.
You know, if anyone of your friends had a TRIPLE A Membership they could call and say you got locked out of your car. They would have unlocked it for you for free.

I have those locks installed on my Camry and I would say they do a pretty good job.
